Prepaid Cell Phone Services offer an attractive option for consumers who want to save on the high cost of calling and messaging. Of course these services also offer the attraction of no contract, allowing users to avoid any unnecessary committment and assuring those with limited or no credit, the ability to access cellular services.

In fact, in the past year, reports indicate that Prepaid Cell phone services are growing faster than traditional cellular services. More customers are making the move as prepaid options expand and maintain lower costs. However, the question for many of these individuals is which prepaid service they should select from a field of many.

It would be difficult to compare and certainly cost is not the only critical factor. Afterall, reliability and customer service have a lot to do with one’s overall satisfaction with a given service.

One possible way of assessing which services warrant the attention of shoppers, would be to examine the feedback provided by current prepaid customers. Luckily there are professional surveyors that have gathered this information. One well respected source of such data is JD Power and Associates.

By visiting JDPower.com, consumers can check the Telecom category and find prepaid wireless services to see the results of the most recent survey. Currently, the 2009 results are posted. According to their results, current customers rated Net10 higher than all other Prepaid Cell Phone services overall.

Net10 received a ranking of 5/5 in the categories of overall satisfaction, performance reliability, and account management. Verizon Wireless was the only other prepaid service to obtain a 5/5 rating on performance reliability.

The results show that both Tracfone and Boost Mobile achieved a rating of 5/5 on overall satisfaction as well as Net10. Tracfone also received a rating of 5/5 on Customer Service and Account Management. Cricket and MetroPCS had their highest ratings for Cost of Service, achieving a 5/5 rating on that item.
